Welcome. These terms explain the rules for using this site, listing a meetup group, and ordering the optional starter pack. We've kept them as short and plain as we can. By using the site, you agree to them. If you have questions, email hello@example.org.
About this site#
Zcash Meetups is a community-made site that helps people start, run and find in-person Zcash meetups. It offers free guides, free printable materials, a directory of groups and events, an AI helper and an optional starter pack.
This site is not official. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Zcash Foundation or any Zcash company. Each meetup is run independently by its own organisers, not by us.
Not financial advice. Nothing on this site, in our materials, at meetups listed here or from the AI helper is financial, legal or tax advice. We don't tell anyone to acquire or hold any digital asset.
Using the site#
You can browse everything without an account. Please don't:
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the site,
- scrape the site in a way that harms it (use our open data feeds instead),
- use the site to send spam or to harass, deceive or harm anyone,
- impersonate another person, group or organisation.
Listing a group#
If you list a group or add events, you agree that:
- The information is accurate. Your group is real, meets where you say it does and follows our code of conduct.
- No scams. No airdrops, giveaways, "signals", trading groups, requests for payment or anything designed to trick people.
- No financial promotion. Listings must not promote any asset, make claims about what it may be worth, or promise returns of any kind.
- Meetups are held in public places, such as cafés, libraries or co-working spaces.
- Links are genuine. Join links must lead where they say. No link shorteners.
- You have the right to share what you upload, including permission from anyone shown in photos.
Every new listing is reviewed before it appears. We may edit, hide or remove any listing, event or report that breaks these rules or the code of conduct, or that we reasonably believe puts people at risk. We may also remove inactive groups. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
You remain responsible for your own meetups, including following venue rules and local laws.
Content and licences#
- Guides and original artwork on this site are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (नए टैब में खुलता है) (CC BY-SA 4.0). You can share and adapt them, including commercially, as long as you credit "Zcash Meetups" and share your version under the same licence.
- Directory data (group names, cities, links and events) is released under CC0 (नए टैब में खुलता है), excluding images, so anyone can reuse it.
- The site's code is released under the MIT licence.
- Content you submit (like group descriptions) stays yours. By submitting it, you allow us to display it on the site and in our open data feeds, and directory data you submit is released under CC0 as above.
- Third-party content, such as facts drawn from ZecHub (CC BY-SA 4.0), is credited and stays under its own licence.
Trademark notice: Zcash and the Zcash logo are trademarks used in accordance with the Zcash trademark policy. Using them here does not mean the site or the starter pack is official or endorsed.
The AI helper#
The AI helper gives general answers about organising meetups and Zcash basics. It can make mistakes. Check important details at the sources it links to. It does not give financial, legal or tax advice. Don't share personal information or recovery phrases with it, or with anyone.
The starter pack#
These terms apply when you order the Meetup Starter Pack.
The seller#
The seller is: [Seller of record — TODO: to be confirmed by the site owner]. Contact: hello@example.org.
What's in the pack#
The exact contents are listed on the starter pack page when you order, and that list is what you'll receive. A pack typically includes printed leaflets in your chosen language, personalised "Come to our meetup" flyers, stickers, an organiser t-shirt in your chosen size, a poster, a table banner, name badges and a table tent card. Colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen.
Cost and payment#
The cost of the pack and shipping to your country are shown before you pay. You can pay by card, processed by Stripe, or with shielded ZEC, processed by CipherPay, where available. Your order is confirmed once payment is received. A ZEC invoice expires if it isn't paid within the time shown at checkout. Depending on your country, import duties or taxes may be charged on delivery.
Production and shipping#
Each pack is printed to order. Production usually takes about 5 to 10 working days. Shipping times vary by destination zone and are estimated at checkout. You'll get email updates and can follow your order on its private status page. Delivery times are estimates, not promises, and delays from carriers or customs are outside our control, but we'll help if something seems stuck.
Please check your shipping address carefully. If a parcel is returned because of an incorrect address, we may need to charge for reshipping.
Damaged or misprinted items#
If anything arrives damaged, misprinted or missing, email us within 30 days of delivery with your order link and a photo. We'll replace the affected items free of charge, or refund them if a replacement isn't possible.
Returns and cancellations#
- No returns on personalised items, such as flyers or posters printed with your group's details, unless they are damaged or misprinted.
- Other unused items can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Email us first so we can arrange it.
- You can cancel for a full refund before your order goes into production. Once printing has started, we can't cancel it.
- Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Refunds#
- Card payments are refunded to the same card through Stripe. It may take several days to appear, depending on your bank.
- ZEC payments are refunded by sending ZEC back to an address you give us. We will refund the same amount of ZEC you paid for the refunded items. Please double-check the address you send us, as payments can't be reversed.
Limits of our responsibility#
We provide the site and its materials free, as they are, and we do our best to keep them accurate and available. We aren't responsible for meetups run by independent organisers, for third-party websites we link to, or for losses from using any wallet, app or service. Stay safe: never share your recovery phrase, and never send funds to someone because they asked at a meetup or in a message.
As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a starter pack order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Changes to these terms#
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date on this page. The terms that applied when you placed an order apply to that order.
